​About The Author 
​

I was born in Birmingham in 1979, raised by my Jamaican mother and Irish father, and shaped by a circle of incredible women I consider my many mothers. As a child, I was endlessly imaginative, often lost in worlds of my own making—something that never really left me. I later studied novel and short story writing with the London School of Journalism, and alongside writing, I’m also a self-taught artist, illustrating my first published book, Azeron, with my own sketches. Today, After a decade in the USA, I brought my family home to Birmingham, where I now live with my sons, still creating stories and bringing them to life through both words and art.
